About Praia de Fornos

Fornos beach is on the Figueiroa peninsula, in the parish of A Pedra, in Cariño. It is a crescent-shaped stretch of sand 400 m long and 60 m wide, with very fine sand in greyish and reddish tones that come from the materials of the Cabo Ortegal Geological Complex. Its surroundings are part of a Site of Community Importance (SCI), and the vegetation reaches almost down to the sea. It can be reached by car or on foot along waymarked paths, and it has a car park.
