About Praia de Chamoso

Chamoso beach is a small, very secluded stretch of sand 160 metres long, bounded by cliffs worn away by the constant action of the sea, where slate rock alternates with patches of white sand. It is part of the Sendeiro da Costa coastal path, together with Madanela beach and the mouth of the river Castro. It is reached by a track opposite the church of San Martiño de Porto; cars can get to within about 100 metres of the beach, and the way down to the sand is along a dirt path and steps, with no access adapted for people with reduced mobility.
