The beaches of La Línea de la Concepción add up to some 14 km on two different stretches of coast, one of them inside the Bay of Algeciras. The other begins by the border with Gibraltar, at Santa Bárbara beach, and continues through Levante, Sobrevela, Torrenueva and Santa Clara to La Alcaidesa. Torrenueva and Santa Clara are surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, with dunes at Torrenueva, at the foot of the Sierra de Carbonera.
