Baldaio beach, in Carballo, is beach, lagoon and marsh all at once: the As Saíñas sands separate the Baldaio lagoon from the sea, one of the most important wetlands in Galicia and a special environmental protection area. This area, between Carballo and A Laracha, in the Bergantiños district at the gateway to the Costa da Morte, combines marsh, dunes and beach. A dune system links it to the Razo sands.
