About Playa Barrañán

Barrañán beach, in the Arteixo parish of the same name, is an open, straight stretch of white, fine sand more than a kilometre long, in a semi-urban setting. Behind it, its dunes form a small marsh at the mouth of the river Sisalde, and at one end lies the furna of San Xián, a cave that can only be reached at low tide. It has a seafront promenade and connects with the Arteixo coastal path. The council presents it as a beach for surfing, fishing and long walks along the shore.
