Lago beach lies at the foot of Monte Farelo, very close to the Virxe do Monte chapel, at the end of the Camariñas estuary where it almost opens onto the Atlantic, with views towards Muxía and the A Barca sanctuary. It sits in a sheltered inlet with many shoals and rocks, and faces south. On the beach there are deposits of cobbles that are the remains of an ancient beach, from a time when the sea level and the coastline were different from the present ones. A road leads right down to the beach.
