A Retorta beach, in Boiro, is the continuation of Carragueiros beach, from which it is separated by the Os Baos islets; it has some 520 metres of medium-grained golden sand. From the hill at its far end there are views over the Arousa estuary and its coastal towns, the island of A Bensa, Cabo de Cruz and the Barbanza hills. A seafront promenade of some 2 km runs along A Retorta and Carragueiros.
