Maspalomas beach is in the south of Gran Canaria, bordered by the Maspalomas Dunes Special Nature Reserve, and has almost three kilometres of golden sand. Next to it are the Maspalomas lighthouse and the Charca de Maspalomas lagoon, where birds can be watched. Family services are concentrated on the stretch beside the resort of Maspalomas, while towards Punta de Maspalomas there are areas for water sports and for nudism.
