About Playa de las Canteras

Las Canteras beach is an urban beach of fine golden sand in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, about 3,100 metres long, running from La Puntilla to the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium. La Barra, a reef running parallel to more than half of the beach, acts as a natural breakwater. Several areas can be told apart along the sand, such as La Cícer, known for surfing, Peña La Vieja, Playa Chica, Playa Grande and La Puntilla, and a seafront promenade runs along its whole length.
