About Playa de las Teresitas

Playa de las Teresitas lies on the coast of San Andrés, about 7 km from the centre of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is an artificial golden-sand beach, built with sand brought from the Sahara where there were once three small black volcanic-sand beaches. It is 1,300 metres long and about 80 metres wide, and a breakwater protects it from currents and waves. It can be reached on foot, by car, by bus or by boat.
