About Playa del Sardinero

By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated

The Primera Playa del Sardinero (First Beach), known as “la Primera”, is in the heart of El Sardinero, in Santander, at the foot of the Gran Casino. It is a beach of fine golden sand, about 350 metres long and 80 metres wide on average. The Piquío gardens separate it from the Segunda Playa (Second Beach), and at low tide you can walk along the shoreline from the Segunda to La Concha, crossing the Primera. It can be reached by cycle lane from the city centre and by public transport, and a lift goes down to the sand.
