About Playa de Laredo
By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated
La Salvé beach is Laredo's urban beach: it runs from the fishing and leisure harbour to the area known as El Puntal, with more than 4 km of fine white and golden sand and an average width of about 120 metres. It is shell-shaped, opens onto a wide bay sheltered by Monte Buciero, in Santoña, and a seafront promenade runs along it. Behind it lies one of the largest dune fields in Cantabria. Beyond El Puntal, the sand continues along the shore of the Treto estuary as El Regatón beach, which the town council treats as a separate beach, within the Marismas de Santoña, Victoria y Joyel Natural Park.
