About Playa del Sablón

El Sablón beach is the main beach of the town of Llanes, a small urban beach very close to the centre, beside the avenue that shares its name. It is semicircular, with golden sand and about 100 metres long, and is bounded to the west by San Pedro point, with a promenade above the sea. Its name comes from 'sable', the Asturian word for sand.
