About the coast in Níjar
By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated
The coast of Níjar, in the province of Almería, is part of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, also a UNESCO Global Geopark, which stretches along the Mediterranean through Níjar, Carboneras and Almería. The coastal Sierra de Gata, of volcanic origin, sends watercourses down to the sea that form coves and beaches of fine sand, alongside others of pebbles and dark gravel. Among them are San José, the Mónsul inlet, Los Genoveses beach, Las Negras, the San Pedro cove and El Playazo de Rodalquilar.

Each beach page uses these names when they blow, and they count in the verdict like any other wind. Each name links to its definition.
- Tide
In the Mediterranean the tide varies by only a few centimetres, so we do not mark high or low tide.
