Playa del Cura lies in the very centre of Torrevieja, between Punta Margallo and the bathing areas of the Juan Aparicio promenade. It is an urban beach of fine sand, 375 m long, set among palm trees. Beside it stands the Monument to the Cultures of the Mediterranean, known as Las Columnas.
