Playa de Palma is a long urban stretch of fine white sand on the Bay of Palma, reached by the city's seafront promenade, which starts in the Portopí neighbourhood. It is shallow, and water sports such as surfing, paddle surfing and kayaking are practised along the beach. It is well connected to the centre of Palma by public transport.
