About Grandes Playas
By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated
The Grandes Playas de Corralejo are a continuous stretch of sand very close to the town of Corralejo, in north-east Fuerteventura, with little building around them and surrounded by the dunes of the Corralejo Natural Park. The sand is white, formed by the erosion of seashells, and the islands of Lobos and Lanzarote can be seen from the shore. Different stretches go by different names, and they are reached by road. The small coves to the south are used for nudism, and El Médano beach, the closest to Corralejo, mainly for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
