About Playa del Baixador

Baixador beach is the southernmost stretch of Castelldefels beach, a long strip of fine sand about 18 km south of Barcelona, between the Llobregat delta and the Garraf massif. It is 1,980 metres long, borders the municipality of Sitges and takes its name from the nearby railway station (baixador is Catalan for a railway halt). It is an urban beach, with a seafront promenade along the sand and Castelldefels Platja station close by.
