About Playa de Son Bou
By Equipe editorial GTM Labs · Updated
Son Bou beach, in the municipality of Alaior, is one of the longest stretches of sand in Menorca: a golden-sand beach open to the sea, between Punta Rodona and Cap de ses Penyes, next to the Son Bou and Torre Solí Nou developments. Behind it lie a large dune system and the Son Bou wetland, both protected and visited by migrating birds, and the Escull de sa Galera reef can be seen off the shore. It is reached by road via the signposted turn-off to Son Bou, and the sand is reached on foot from the car park, crossing the dunes.
